BAYAN CHAIRPERSON TEDDY CASINO ON THE LAVISH RENOVATION OF THE PRESIDENTIAL HOUSE

October 10, 2024

The unveiling of President Bongbong Marcos’ newly renovated official residence, complete with luxurious amenities, is an insult to the 59% of Filipino families who consider themselves poor.

The Constitution calls for modesty in public office, yet here we are, with Bahay Pangulo looking more like a personal resort than a symbol of public service.

This reeks of entitlement at a time when humility and accountability are most needed from our leaders.

Public officials are not royalty. If he can’t grasp the gravity of the situation, it’s time we remind him that public office is a public trust, not a showcase worthy of an Oliver Austria YouTube video.#
