Bagong Alyansang Makabayan is ready to work with all those who are pursuing accountability against those who use their power and influence to steal with impunity.
We are part of the White Ribbon March which demands not just accountability but also an end to the pork barrel system, political dynasties and reform of the country’s electoral system.
This is an initiative of multisectoral groups, coalitions, and formations which have worked hard to build a common stand against corruption and abuse of power, especially by those who occupy the highest positions in government. We highly value this unity, and we look forward to strengthening the movement to achieve bolder and systemic political reforms.
We will not be distracted by those who wish to hijack our call for good governance and use the march as a platform to whitewash the crimes of notorious plunderers and political clans.
We cannot link arms with those who consistently resort to disinformation not just to protect the corrupt but also to malign and undermine the efforts of anti-corruption advocates.
The rabid pro-Duterte personalities who expressed their intent to join the march are advised to respect the integrity of the space we are building in our struggle for truth, accountability, and justice. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE
