Bayan response to Palace claim that corruption campaign is nearing its endgame
The people, not the Palace, will decide the endgame of the anti-corruption fight.
To claim that the endgame is near is self-serving for a government that has yet to file charges against high-ranking officials in the House, Senate, and DPWH.
Malacañang wants to end the campaign in order to preempt the demand to make Marcos Jr. accountable for the rollout of pork barrel projects, anomalous budget insertions, and kickback deliveries. It seeks to divert attention from the looming passage of the 2026 budget riddled with pork barrel items, confidential funds, and unprogrammed appropriations.

The people will resist all attempts to cut short the ongoing investigations and shield Marcos Jr. from accountability. We will also press for the impeachment of Sara Duterte and the prosecution of all officials involved in the infrastructure corruption.
It is Marcos’ endgame that is actually nearing because he is quickly being exposed as the king of corruption and ‘thief executive’ for his role in the rampant corruption in government.
Bayan calls for more protests to push for accountability, the rejection of the pork barrel-laden 2026 budget, and the need to urgently abolish the pork barrel system and political dynasties.
